Maple Syrup Day

Date:  March 9, 2019

Maple Weekend will be an outdoor activity to beat cabin fever, encouraging guests to meet Indiana syrup producers - called sugar makers, to see where food comes from, how it is produced, and to learn the difference and value between maple and pancake syrup. Twin Lakes Camp has its very own maple camp!

Join us on March 9th for this special Saturday event at camp. Load up in our hay wagon to begin your family adventure of maple tapping. You will interact with demonstrations of how the Indians made maple syrup, how the settlers made it, watch our wood-fired evaporator in action of taking the sap and turning it into delicious maple syrup in our very own sugar shack.

You can also enjoy a donation-based pancake lunch with REAL maple syrup and sausage, juice and coffee. Jon Beight, the camp's Executive Director will also be brining a short devotional entitled: The Sweetest Gift of All.

Twin Lakes Camp is excited to be part of the Indiana Maple Syrup Association and are thankful for their assistance in making this event successful.
